Information we collect

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect your name, contact details, address, vehicle registration and vehicle details, booking information, workshop and service history, MOT information, estimates, inspection information, invoices, messages and information you send through website forms. We may also keep security and technical records such as IP address, login activity and request logs where needed to operate and protect the service.

Why we use it

We use information to provide bookings, garage and mobile services, manage your customer account, identify and link your existing garage records, communicate with you, prepare estimates and invoices, maintain vehicle and MOT history, meet accounting and legal obligations, and keep our systems secure.

My Autocentre and AutoHub

My Autocentre is the customer-facing part of our service. Your account securely connects to 247 AutoHub, our internal garage management system, so that information already held for your customer and vehicle records can be shown to you. Passwords are not displayed to us or returned to the website in readable form.

Cookies

We currently use cookies that are necessary for the website and My Autocentre to work securely. The customer portal uses a session cookie called autocentre_portal to keep you signed in while using the service. It is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and is sent securely over HTTPS. Our hosting/security provider may also use strictly necessary security cookies when protecting the website from malicious traffic.

We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies on this website. Because the cookies currently used are necessary to provide or secure the service, we do not show a marketing-cookie consent banner. If non-essential analytics, advertising or similar cookies are added later, we will update this notice and introduce consent controls before those cookies are set.

Who we share information with

Information may be processed by service providers that help us host, secure and operate the website and AutoHub, and by payment, accounting or communication providers where those services are used. We do not sell customer personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, to provide ongoing vehicle and customer history, and to meet legal, tax, accounting, warranty and business-record requirements. Deleting a My Autocentre login does not automatically delete garage, invoice or other records that we are required or entitled to retain.

Your rights

UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information, which can include asking for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of information, and objecting to certain uses.
